After-school Classes

Mr. Clark (PTA) oversees dismissal from enrichment classes and helps direct each student according to their after-school plans. Students are dismissed through the Kiss & Go door and guided to their designated after-school program.
If your child is attending Aristocrafts Aftercare, they will be safely guided to us following dismissal, whether they are coming directly from an Aristocrafts class, or another after-school program. Please be sure to notify your child’s after-school program of their aftercare arrangements in advance.
If you have any questions about dismissal or the transition to aftercare, Mr. Clark will be the main point of contact 240-644-9993. Please bring your ID to present it at pick-up.
Make up week: Monday, December 14th - Friday December 18th.

Adventurous Artists Class | 1-3
Join us for Adventurous Artists, an after-school program designed for 1st–3rd Graders eager to explore the world of visual art!Throughout the session, young artists will discover a variety of materials and techniques while experimenting with colors, textures, and forms.From vibrant painting projects to creative mixed-media crafts, each class encourages imagination, builds confidence, and fosters artistic expression in a fun and supportive environment.
Dates: September 14, September 21 (no class), 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 2 (no class), 9, 16, November 23 (no class), 30, December 7.
Tuesday
Crafties Club | 1-3
Our little crafters will be creating new projects throughout the session, selected by seasonal trends, and themed art projects to celebrate holidays, explore nature…from key chains, wall decor, tie dye, pinata and more.Students will learn the basic techniques to accomplish each project on their own and will be guided every step of the way by our instructors.Our instructor will demonstrate the new techniques and process but will allow each participant to express themselves and add their own personal touch to the projects.

Wednesday
Creative Movement | K-2
Our Creative and Contemporary Movement enrichment class welcomes children of all levels to explore the joy of movement in a fun, imaginative, and expressive way. Students learn techniques in rhythm, balance, and body expression while creating one-of-a-kind routines, from graceful contemporary flows to playful story-inspired dances.

Thursday
Lego Club | K-5
Fun and engaging Lego challenges with STEM activities. In this course, children will have the opportunity to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills through building and designing with LEGO bricks. Throughout the class, they will learn various techniques for building structures, vehicles and other objects. We will have many fun challenges to enhance the building experience and encourage a healthy competition. Children will have the opportunity to work individually or in teams and will be encouraged to share their ideas and collaborate with their peers. In addition to building, we will also discuss some of the engineering and physics concepts behind the designs we create. Ready...Set...Build!

Slime Club | K-5
Our Slime enrichment class is perfect for children of all levels, from first-time slime makers to young scientists ready to experiment. Students follow step-by-step instructions to learn the science behind slime, including mixing, textures, and safe chemical reactions, while creating unique projects like glittery galaxy slime or colorful scented slime.

French Baking | K-5
In our French Cuisine Inspired Class, students will learn how to make delicious French dishes such as crepes, croque monsieurs, croissants, madeleines, quiches... Along with hands-on cooking, we'll explore the history and regions of origin for these popular dishes. This class is perfect for young chefs eager to embark on a culinary adventure through France!We are getting Michelin Stars at Wood Acres this year!
